Kota Kinabalu: Two men were separately charged in the Magistrate’s Court here Wednesday with trafficking 2,846gm of syabu.
Clement Tseu Min Heng, 18, and Chua Kian Voon, 39, are accused of committing the offence at 1.45am on May 5 in front of the Penampang Police Station.
However, no plea was taken from them when they were produced before Magistrate Jessica Ombou Kakayun.
They face the death penalty if convicted under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
The court set June 13 for mention while waiting for the chemist’s report.
Meanwhile, Tseu was also charged in the Sessions Court with having 33.96gm of syabu.
He allegedly committed the offence at 9pm on May 5 this year in front of the Hot Kitchen premises in Penampang.
No plea was recorded from him after the charge under Section 39A(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act was read out to him.
Judge Noor Hafizah Mohd Salim fixed June 13 for mention of the case.
Tseu was represented by counsel Dominic Chew.
Meanwhile, another man was charged in the Magistrate’s Court with trafficking 302.95gm of cannabis.
Tuan Muhamad Aqif Tuan Zahadi is accused of committing the offence at the security kiosk of a housing area in Luyang at 7pm on May 3.

Tseu, Chua and Aqif were ordered remanded further as the main charge against them has no provision for bail.
