villagers said the former assemblyman had promised to end the water problem but nothing have been done to rectify the problem after he was elected.
They were also worried as the well was shared with wild animals and could be contaminated, he said.
He said the villagers have highlighted the water woes to the government and the assemblyman but the issue remain unattended.
“We cannot afford to see our villagers contracting typhoid, a disease attributed to the consumption of contaminated water,” he said.
Wong said if the mandate was given to the party and they governed the State the water misery would be resolved in 100 days.
“I will make sure all houses are connected with clean water supply, we will do our level best to improve access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in this community, the health-threatening effects of unsafe water and poor sanitation have gotten worse as the issue remain unresolved,” Wong said. -pr/BNN
