PENAMPANG: Former Deputy President of Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri, Encik Sylvester J Disimon has declared joining Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU).
Beliau submitted his membership application form to Sabah BERSATU Chief, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, during the Penampang Division-level Sabah BERSATU Leadership’s Jelajah Programme held at Tintap Reverside View, Babagon Penampang, on Sunday.
Sylvester is formerly General Manager of Sabah Housing and Town Development Authority (LPPB).

In his speech, Hajiji invites the people of Sabah especially those of the indigenous community, particularly in Penampang, to join BERSATU without hesitation and take part in its struggles.
He said BERSATU as a new political platform, brings an inclusive political approach for all communities in Sabah especially the indigenous community.
“Since its inception, BERSATU has given recognition to the indigenous community in Sabah and it is enshrined within the party constitution itself.
This makes BERSATU a national-based party which has legally placed the Sabah indigenous people at the most appropriate position in lined with the spirit and principles of the Federal and Sabah State Constitutions,” he said.
Hajiji, who is also Sulaman State Assemblyman, said the BERSATU Constitution has put in written its commitment to protect the special position of Sabah natives, in lined with the Federal Constitution, as part of the purposes and objectives of the party struggles.-pr/BNN
