KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU) Chief, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, officiated an event called “Tautan Kasih Bersama Pemimpin dan Pemantapan Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM)” organised by Kelab Sahabat AIM Tuaran branch at Friendly Gayang, Tuaran, on Wednesday.
Hajiji, who is also N.10 Sulaman State Assemblyman, said AIM as a government agency has successfully uplifted the status and incomes of small-time bussiness operators throughout the country.
He said, based the success stories of Kelab Sahabat AIM members, there are among them who have successfully achieved monthly incomes of up to thousands of ringgit.
“AIM has successfully assisted in uplifting the status of the businessmen which at the same time increase the incomes of people throughout the country,” he said.
According to him, in Tuaran alone, there are 3581 business operators who have received assistance and loan facilities from AIM for their respective business venture.
Hajiji said although most of AIM borrowers are women, it does not mean that the men or husbands cannot assist their wife or children in their business.
General Manager of AIM Sabah West Region, Puan Hajah Norashifah Salleh, Tuaran District Development Assistant Officer, Tuan Haji Awil Kansari, AIM Tuaran Manager, Encik Sharif Moh Sharif Ekang and Kelab Sahabat AIM President, Puan Noraidah Haji Arbi, were also present.
