KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Haji Apdal paid his last respects to former chief minister Tan Sri Peter Lo Su Yin at Wisma Fook Luk Siew today.

In a statement, Shafie expressed his personal heartfelt sympathies as well as the Sabah Government to his bereaved family.

Tan Sri Peter was among those instrumental in drafting the Malaysia Agreement 1963 and as a towering leader will be forever remembered for his contributions to Sabah, he said.
“He will always be known for his fairness and firm decisions as chief minister at a time when Sabah was going political struggles and other threats in the 1960s.”-pr/BNN
