KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU) fully support Interim Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to continue leading the country as the 8th Prime Minister.
Its Chief, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, said Tun Dr Mahathir’s service and leadership are vitally needed by the country to continue with the already planned development agenda, apart from for managing the nation’s economy well.
“Sabah BERSATU fully support Tun Dr Mahathir to be appointed as the 8th Prime Minister of Malaysia for uniting the people, creating a stable government and continuing with the national development agenda.
“The most important now is the country need Tun Dr Mahathir to manage and improve our economy which is presently a bit gloomy following the country’s political upheaval and the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19),” he said in a statement today.
Hajiji, who is also Sulaman State Assemblyman, said the country need an outstanding leader like Tun Dr Mahathir to manage and put the country’s economy back on the right track so to enable it to face the challenges brought about by current global economic condition.
“Sabah BERSATU place its full trust to Tun Dr Mahathir and is confident he is the only one who can reform a new government that is stable and able to manage the country’s economy well for continue prosperity of the people,” he stressed.-pr/BNN
