KENINGAU: Liawan Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidate Datuk Annuar Datuk Ayub said he has waited 22 years to be fielded as a candidate.
“My patience has paid off when PN selected me to contest representing my party STAR,” he said.
Speaking at a meet-the -people session attended by Tan Sri Musa Haji Aman today, he believed with patience, hard work and the support from the people, he can render his service to the people.
In his speech, Musa confirmed what Annuar said was true.
“It is true during previous elections he requested to contest but I told him to wait and said you will have your chance to be a candidate one day,” he said.
Later when speaking to the media, Musa said the Warisan government has failed the people and had achieved no tangible results in terms of developing Sabah.
He said it was important that at the very least the State government have good relations with the Federal government.
“The Prime Minister has done a lot to ease the people burden in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
He said the people should therefore vote leaders who can work together with our Federal counterparts to ensure more development comes to Sabah.-pr/BNN
