KOTA KINABALU:  Two thousand five hundred and sixty five eligible taxi drivers in Sabah have to date received the one-off RM 600 cash aid from the Federal Government under “Bantuan PRIHATIN Nasional Pemandu Teksi.”
The first batch involved 1,771 recipients who received the assistance from the Ministry of Finance through Bank Simpanan Nasional, Sabah Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) Dato’ Chin Kim Hiung disclosed this on Friday.
Chin said the cash aid for the second batch of 794 taxi drivers was disbursed by CVLB into their respective bank accounts on Nov 10 and they were advised to check and update CVLB on the matter.
As of Oct 31, Sabah CVLB has so far received RM 3,418,100 from the Ministry of Finance under “Bantuan PRIHATIN Nasional” for disbursement to taxi, e-hailing and sightseeing bus drivers in the State, he added.
Chin pointed out again that the delay for the disbursement to school bus drivers in Sabah was caused by the error in filling the online application form by the applicants.-pr/BNN
