KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Progressive Party Chairman Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee is concerned about the impact of the Independence Chinese Secondary School under the pandemic.
In receiving the pandemic funding from the state government, RM5,500 was allocated specifically to assist Kian Kok Middle School students to pay their school fee. Six students benefited from this grant.
The fund was handed over by Datuk Wong Yit Ming to the board of director Mr Chua. Accompanying Datuk Wong Yit Ming were Sabah Progressive Party Committee Member Thong Yong Hung, Wong VK and Dexter Chin.
During the dialog session, the school principal Mr. Goh Teck Seng reported that Kian Kok Middle School was affected by the pandemic. The school lacks of income from the auditorium rental. The parents of students also face financial difficulty in paying their school fees. It Directly affects the school administrative funding operations.
Datuk Wong Yit Ming conveys Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee message that Sabah Progressive Party will continue to support Kian Kok Middle School.
The directors of Kian Kok Middle School who attended the handover ceremony was Chua Hian Hock, Ong Lee Chien, Kapitan Goh Giok Yee dan Tham Kok Meng. They praised the Progressive Party’s funding. This is the second allocation for Kian Kok Middle School to help the students to pay for their school fee.-pr/BNN
