KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) donated two fans to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for use by its staff yesterday.
The donation of the fans was presented by its party Vice Youth Chief Dexter Chin to the hospital staff representatives Dr Darlene F Ongkili (Emergency Physician) and En. Lony Lomodi, assistant medical officer.
The purpose of the fans is for use in the temporary tent that was constructed to store medical equipment as well as a place where hospital staff on duty can take a rest or short breaks. It is also because of limited space of the hospital building as more rooms are being occupied for treatment the increasing covid-19 patients
Dexter Chin in his statement expressed his thanks and gratitude to the front liners who work day and night to take care of these patients.
“I hope that all levels of society always maintain personal hygiene by washing their hands regularly, using sanitization sprays, complying with SOPs and maintaining physical distancing for the benefit of all. With this, we have indirectly help frontline personnel in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
Also present at the presentation was SAPP Youth vice (1) Charles Yong and committee member Nelson Tang.-pr/BNN
