KOTA KINABALU: On October 21, approximately 200 Korean language enthusiasts gathered at the University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF) in Kota Kinabalu to participate in the Skill for Life: Basic Korean Language programme.
This programme was organised by the Sabah Ministry of Youth and Sports (JBS) and the Centre for Languages and Generic Development, UCSF. Its aim was to provide a comprehensive introduction to the Korean language and communication.
The programme consisted of a one-day face-to-face workshop, which was the second session of the programme.
The participants were youths from the Kota Kinabalu area. In addition to the physical workshop, there were also three online class sessions. The programme aimed to develop language learning skills among the youths through both online and physical classes.
The programme was led by the experienced Korean language teacher, Lee Kyung-Eun, who has been teaching in Kota Kinabalu for a long time. One of the main objectives of the program was to make communication in a foreign language easier.
