KOTA KINABALU: The Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor will be attending Liberal Democratic Party’s (LDP) Chinese New Year Gathering.
The event will be held at Sabah Hakka Hall on the 8th day of the Lunar New Year on February 17 (Saturday), from 10am to 1pm.
LDP president Datuk Chin Su Phin, deputy president cum organizing chairman Datuk Yong Wui Chung, secretary-general Datuk Chin Shu Ying, vice presidents David Ong and Sim Fui, chief publicity officer Simon Chin, Central Women Movement leader Glenna Wong, deputy secretary-general Chin Soon Ho, deputy treasurer-general Chin Kiang Ming and others paid a courtesy call to Hajiji yesterday. The Chief Minister has agreed to grace the event.
On another note, Yong said the event is by invitation and among those who will attend are Sabah ministers, assistant ministers, members of parliament and assemblyman in the west coast, Mayor, Chinese community leaders, LDP Supreme Council members, west coast division leaders and their family members.
Guests will be entertained with dragon dance, appearance by the God of Fortune, lao shang ceremony, ang pow giveaway to children, dance performance by SM Kian Kok, as well as singing performances by renowned singers including Wesley Liew, Pei Pei Annabelle, Simon Chin, Zev Leong and Mulan.-pr/BNN
