KOTA KINABALU: The University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF) will be organising the inauguration ceremony of its Bachelor of Science in Architecture (Honours) on 19 January at Shangri-La Tanjung Aru, Kota Kinabalu.
The ceremony will take place from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. and is by invitation, with limited seating available.
A key highlight of the inauguration will be a special sharing session on Merdeka Tower 118 delivered by Dato’ Tengku Abdul Aziz Tengku Mahmud. According to the Vice-Chancellor of UCSF, Datuk Dr Rafiq Idris, “this programme represents a significant milestone as the first architecture degree to be offered in Sabah.
He noted that UCSF is privileged to feature a distinguished figure closely associated with the development of Merdeka Tower 118, adding that the session is expected to be both insightful and inspiring.
He further expressed hope that the programme would encourage talented young Sabahans to aspire towards greater achievements, particularly within the fields of architecture and the construction industry.
In the long term, UCSF aims to contribute to the development of the state by producing more professional architects, with this programme serving as a foundational step towards higher professional qualifications in architecture.
