KOTA KINABALU: Local leaders like Kapitan Cina, JKDBs etc of Kapayan Low Cost Housing, shops and Taman Kepayan Ridge should come under the jurisdiction of DBKK, said Chong Pit Fah.
Chong, who is Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) vice president, said since the Kapayan Low Cost Housing, shops and Taman Kepayan Ridge areas all come under DBKK rating area which include house assessments and DBKK licences, the local leaders therefore should be transferred back from the Penampang District Council to DBKK.
And as such, these local leaders should be attending meetings in DBKK instead of the Penampang District Council, he added.
“This is in order to comply fully with the relevant laws, and it was wrong for the Kapayan YB to transfer them from DBKK to Penampang Council,” he said.-pr/BNN
