KOTA KINABALU – Coming Chinese New Year night market at Foh Sang will be open on 30th January 2022 which is 2 days before the Chinese New Year (also known as Spring Festival).
Gee Tien Siong said that all interested vendors can apply for their hawker lots from KK City Hall effective from January 6.
Last year, City Hall disallowed the Chinese New Year Eve night market due to the severity of Covid-19 pandemic and MCO restrictions at the time.
Gee, Luyang’s Community Development Leader, who is also Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) vice president, said the decision of City Hall to allow the CNY eve night market will liven up the festive mood among the public. He also hope that everyone adhere to the SOP like using the MySejahtera App, check body temperature, maintain social distancing and most important, keeping their masks on at all times.
“The lifting of the ban on the night market does not mean we have defeated the dreaded coronavirus Covid-19,” Gee said.
He wishes everyone well and while welcoming a prosperous “Year of the Tiger”.-pr/BNN
