PAPAR: Chief Minister/Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) chairman Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor is confident the coalition will be given the mandate to lead the State Government once again.
“God willing, we are confident we will form the government after the election tomorrow,” he said when met at the ‘Rumah Kita, Kita Jaga’ campaign trail at Pantai Manis here today.
According to him, based on his observation during the two-week campaign period the people were receptive to the GRS election manifesto and candidates.
On another note, he said Papar will progress further if all three elected representatives in the Papar parliamentary constituency are from GRS.
“I am sure that if all three assemblymen here are from GRS, they can galvanise efforts to develop Papar with Member of Parliament (Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali),” he said.
The GRS three candidates in Papar are Datuk Gulamhaidar Bahadar Khan (Kawang), Datuk Juil Nuatim (Limbahau) and Datuk Haji Pengiran Saifuddin Pengiran Tahir Petra (Pantai Manis).
Hajiji who is GRS Sulaman candidate reiterated his call for the people to choose GRS in the election tomorrow (Nov 29).
“For the past five years, the GRS-led State Government has proven its track record. “The people must not listen to lies being spread by the opposition in their campaigns. Some of them have already been proven to be a failure.
“They only managed to hold on for two and a half years before the people rejected them. So, why must we give them a chance?” he said.
Hajiji assured that various issues affecting Pantai Manis, which Pengiran Saifuddin had raised to him would be addressed once GRS is returned as State Government.
Meanwhile, in wrapping up his campaign trail in Meruntum, Putatan, Hajiji said the people must not make the mistake of choosing the party, which have been proven to have failed as a State Government before this.
“The GRS-led State Government, on the other hand, has been proven to be successful through the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 1.0 development plan and we will ensure continuity with the Hala Tuju SMJ 2.0,” he said.-pr/BNN
