SANDAKAN : Musketeers Football Academy received a special three-day visit from INSKEN as part of the Bangkit INSKEN programme, an intensive three-month entrepreneurship mentorship initiative designed to assist entrepreneurs and organisations in developing more sustainable and impactful business models.
The visit aimed to guide and evaluate the academy’s development across various aspects, including operations, financial management, administration, marketing, sales, and strategic direction, in a bid to strengthen Musketeers’ potential as a Social Enterprise (SE) within the football industry.
Representing INSKEN was Khairul Azri from Discover Muay Thai, known as one of Malaysia’s early movers in sports-based social enterprise.
During the visit, he was also taken to several operational locations and partner offices associated with the academy to observe grassroots development activities, community management, and the actual work carried out by Musketeers on the ground.
The academy’s President, Hardy Pudar, stated that Musketeers had previously participated in the INSKEN-organised Basic Social Enterprise Entrepreneurship Course and is now progressing towards establishing the academy as a football-based social enterprise focused on community development.
According to him, Musketeers’ approach is not solely centred on talent development in football, but also emphasises education, leadership, character-building, and social impact within the community.
“Football, for us, is not just a sport but a platform to build the future of the younger generation and strengthen the community through a more holistic development approach.
“This mentorship programme with INSKEN has provided valuable input, strategic insights, and experience to help us strengthen our organisational structure and the direction of the academy,” he said.
He also expressed gratitude to INSKEN for the opportunity and trust given to Musketeers to participate in the programme.
Musketeers Football Academy, which carries the slogan “More Than Just Football,” actively promotes grassroots football development involving children and teenagers through the “5K” concept—Kebajikan (Well-being), Keilmuan (Knowledge), Kekeluargaan (Family), Kepimpinan (Leadership), and Kerjaya (Career).-pr/BNN
