（亚庇7日讯）随着国内疫情回暖和政府开放措施，由华总会长丹斯里吴添泉领导的沙巴中华大会堂决定复办“第7届沙巴国际龙舟赛”，除海外国家团体外，大会呼吁州内外，包括西马多州华堂、文化团体与企业商家踊跃派队参与。
根据安排，盛会的大决赛高潮将于7月3日上午7时30分响锣。沙巴首席部长拿督斯里哈芝芝受邀于当天上午8时55分抵步，州元首敦朱哈则受邀于上午9时莅临主持开幕仪式及抛粽子仪式。两人也会观赏龙舟重头项目决赛并主持颁奖礼，与国内外好手及人民同庆。
吴添泉今天在沙华堂会所会议室出席和主持有关的筹委会议时，公开邀请国内各州华堂及社团代表，尤其是过去曾参与的西马龙舟队伍团体组队参加或出席暌违两年后，准备在今年复办的第7届沙巴国际龙舟赛，共同弘扬中华文化运动，并体验沙巴独有的多元民族龙舟文化盛会。
“由于疫情尚未完全结束，我们预计今年的外国参赛队伍或许会比往年略减，但希望州内东马区和西马各州能够有更多队伍参赛。”
他表示，沙巴国际龙舟赛是多元性及包容性极强的文化体育活动，每年都吸引各族人民和海内外旅客参与，堪称我国独有的一道美丽文化风景。
“希望西马华堂华社代表门能前来亲自体验，及支持中华传统文化在沙巴的发展。同时也为后疫情时代东、西马文化经济的重新深度接轨域交流。”
他呼吁全国各华团文化团体积极组团参与，让这复办活动精彩出发，传承和发挥团结融合精神。
在疫情前的最近一个沙华堂国际龙舟赛，是在3年前（2019年）6月间主办的第6届，由沙州元首敦朱哈马西鲁丁亲临主持盛会隆重开幕，吸引了来自国内各地、中国、汶莱、菲律宾等国的超过百支队伍参加，盛况空前而轰动一时。
沙华堂已由署理总会长拿督黄小娟担任主席，副总会长甲必丹冯春发为署理的筹委会，并在各员配合下如火如荼展开工作。今天会议也敲定了筹委会阵容。
黄小娟表示，该堂妇女组也将再次配合这项国际盛会而举办裹粽子比赛，让本地妇女代表透过巧手呈现这项最具端午风味与情怀的传统美食。并将在当天下午举行颁奖典礼。
她说，为更丰富活动项目和让各界人士能参与，青年团将于当天下午主办首度登场的“7公里龙舟跑”，由里卡士海湾朝亚庇市区的方向开跑，料将吸引500人参加。
她表示，大会目前已开始接受报名，并陆续接获报名反应，她呼吁有意参赛的队伍尽早报名，以方便编排和练习流程和时间表。
“各队伍可以选择在亚庇的丝绸港湾渡假村或是斗亚兰的孟加邦大桥底的加央码头进行练习，大会将在这两个地点各置放3艘龙舟供练习用途。”
