KIMANIS: Kimanis UMNO chief Datuk Mohamad Alamin has been named the candidate for the Kimanis Parliamentary by election.
Sabah UMNO Chief Datuk Bung Mokthar Radin announced this at their Command Central at Kimanis Centro today.
The by-election will be held on Jan 18 after the nomination to be held on Jan 4 at Dewan Seri Panglima Dun Banir.
The earliest ballot will be casted on Jan 14.
The candidate had initially contested the Bongawan State Assembly seat in the 14th General Election but lost to Warisan candidate Dr. Daud Yusof.
He is expected to face Datuk Karim Bujang, a veteran politician, for Warisan in the Kimanis by-election.-BNN
