MEMBAKUT: Three Village Community Management Council (MPKK) leaders in Kimanis left Warisan for BN today.
According to them they were dissatisfied with the services rendered by authority governing the MPKK, and their nonchalant approach to problems and needs presented by these community leaders to them.
Mohd Fadzly Abdul shared that since holding the post of MPKK Chairman, Kg Mandangin, Membakut he had reported so many shortcomings in the village to the relevant authorities.
He said his hopes were that the relevant authorities would take action but his complaints fell on deaf ears.
The other leader, Norhalizah A Hassim MPKK chairperson of Kg. Limbunau/Layun also left Warisan to join BN due to her dissatisfaction with the relevant authorities.
“During the recent flood here, we have presented our needs to the relevant authorities, but they didn’t do anything. Some NGOs gave us assistance, but nothing from them,” she shared.
Apparently they also had not received their meeting allowance for a year.
Both declared that they were not offered anything by BN/UMNO to join the party nor were they coerced to do so.
Sabah Umno chief Datuk Bung Moktar Radin was present to welcome the two former MPKK leaders into BN.
The third person, Permin Marimin MPKK Chairman of Kg. Baitam Lumantak was not present during the event.-BNN
