SANDAKAN: MCA Libaran chairman Dato’ Chin Kim Hiung distributed face masks to Sandakan Airport taxi drivers on Saturday.
Chin said MCA Libaran Division appreciated the contribution of the airport cabbies who are among the first persons to come in contact with air passengers upon their arrival in Sandakan.
“We appreciate their services and give emphasis on their healthy safety during the current Covid-19 pandemic,” Chin who is also Sabah Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board chairman, added.
On hand to receive the face masks from Chin at the compound of Sandakan Airport was Persatuan Teksi Seluruh Sabah chairman cum Persatuan Teksi Sandakan chairman Hiew Su Vun.
Hiew thanked Chin for his concerns to the wellbeing of taxi drivers in Sabah including those in Sandakan.
Also present were chairman of Persatuan Pengusaha dan Pemandu Teksi Bumiputra Sandakan Hanafiah Arpaih, chairman of Persatuan Pengusaha dan Pemandu Teksi Lapangan Terbang Sandakan Mukaramah Abd Rahim and MCA Libaran deputy chairman Potter Liau.- pr/BNN
