KOTA KINABALU – Parti Kerjasma Anak Negeri (Anak Negeri) is neither surprised, not amused by the decision of its former Treasurer Thomas Tsen who left the party last year to join UPKO recently.
Anak Negeri Vice President Patrick Tangkalau has clarified that Thomas left the party in September 2019 after serving a 12 month suspension for breaching party discipline.
Patrick was referring to the recent press report where Thomas was seen handing over his application form to UPKO President Datuk Wilfred Madiius Tangau
For the record, he said action was taken by the party Central Committee in 2018 against Thomas and five others for their press statement on 20 May 2018 declaring support for the PH/Warisan Sabah Government in direct contravention to the official party stand.
Also for the record, during GE14, Thomas had opted to contest the Tg Kapur state seat under Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS), not Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri.
He said Thomas who was unhappy about his suspension has challenged the disciplinary action in court last year but case was dismissed.-pr/BNN
