KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BRRSATU) Chief, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, described Kota Kinabalu Member of Parliament Chan Foong Hin’s statement asking him to give explanation on the latest controversy relating to a commercial development in Sabindo, Tawau, as weird and funny.

He said Chan being a MP of DAP which is an ally of the Warisan-led State Government can get access to information and detailed explanation from the relevant authorities like the State Attorney-General Chamber, Tawau Municipal Council (TMC) and State Land and Survey Department.

“I think, there is no need for me to waste time to comment and give an explanation as asked by Chan, because it is quite weird and funny.

“Furthermore, I am now no longer in the State Government. They who are presently in the government have all the privileges and power to get access to the relevant authorities to ask for detailed explanation.

“I would like to advise the Kota Kinabalu MP (Chan) to respect the court judgement and also the decision that had been made by the relevant parties.

“What I can say here is that the development project concerned was approved in 1997,” he said in response to the Daily Express’ front page news today.

In the news report, Chan was reported as saying Hajiji may be the best person to shed light on the latest controversy surrounding the joint venture commercial development at Tawau’s Sabindo open space.- pr/BNN
