KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU) is already prepare to face the Sabah State General Election (PRN), following the dissolution of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (DUN).

Sabah Bersatu Chief, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, said Sabah BERSATU will hold a meeting next week to discuss on the preparation of the party election machinery at each of the Sabah DUN.

“We are already prepared and has identified 45 DUN areas to be contested by BERSATU candidates.

“We will present candidates with calibre who have the credibility, capability and “winnable” to win the seat contested by them,” he said in a statement today.

However, he said, Sabah BERSATU is ready to discuss with parties within the Perikatan Nasional (PN), UMNO and Barisan Nasional (BN) in facing the Sabah PRN, so we can combine strength to ensure victory in the coming election.

Hajiji said Sabah BERSATU will also offer the best manifesto and direction for the people of Sabah, which among others focusing on re-developing the State economy after the crisis and Covid-19 pandemic.

According to them, other aspect that will be given priority of the Sabah BERSATU struggle is continue to ensure the rights and interests of the people and Sabah continue to be safeguarded.

He said besides that, security, education, socio-economy, the wellbeing of the people and Sabah, as well as racial unity, are also prioritised in the party struggles.

“We will ensure the people of Sabah who lives in this state will feel safe, at peace, comfortable, as well as continue to live in harmony and prosperity.

“We are confident, BERSATU will become the best alternative and accepted by majority of the people to lead in Sabah,” he stressed.

Hajiji said Sabah BERSATU will launch its election manifesto before the nomination day.

“Through the manifesto that will be launched, we will offer the best for the people and Sabah if given the chance to form the State Government,” he added.-pr/BNN
