UP TO THE MOUNTAIN… Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Jeffrey Kitingan led a group of 50 climbers up Mount Kinabalu this morning. The expedition is Kitingan’s initiative to help promote the Jom Sihat programme, and more importantly, the diversity of KDM cultural costumes in conjunction with this year’s Kaamatan. The group is expected to reach the summit at 7am tomorrow, where they will pose with their traditional attire atop Mount Kinabalu. Kitingan, who will turn 73 this year, was accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Cecilia Edwin Kitingan. They arrived at Panalaban Base Camp at around 4pm this evening.-pr/BNN
