KOTA KINABALU: In conjunction with the Harvest Festival held in the month of May, Kg Kawakaan Kitobu Inanam held its own celebration at its Balai Raya recently.
The event, attended by 150 people was held with pomp and pageantry, even thouggh it was dub a mini-harvest festival.
The events during the first day of the celebration included a children fashion show, sports activities, a singing competition and a stage appearance by participants of the Harvest Festival Unduk Ngadau to determine the winner for Miss Congeniality (Tati Tosuau).
On the second day, a traditional food competition was held followed by the presentation certificates to KRT Committee members, and the much awaited event ‘Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan’ beauty pageant.
The organising chairman of the mini kaamatan KRT Kg Kawakaan, Inanam 2022 Fancica Aloysius shared that the winners of the Unduk Ngadau were Cherlyen Denion who grab first place that came with a bouquet, a crown, sash, hamper and trophy as well as RM200 cash. The second place went to Dymphna Hendra Damin who received a bouquet, hamper, trophy and RM180 cash. Cherliyana Dineon won third place and brought home a bouquet, hamper, trophy and RM150 cash.
Fancica Aloysius who is also the Chairman of KRT Kg Kawakaan, shared that the event was officiated by OKK Datuk William Mojimbun.-AV/BNN
