SELANGOR: The Programme Bimbingan Institut Keusahawanan Negara Berhad (INSKEN) managed to generate RM8.7 million in sales revenue throughout 2022, said Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick.
He said, it clearly proves that the mentoring programme has a positive effect and impact towards entrepreneurs.
“Tonight is the first graduation ceremony for INSKEN Guidance Programme that I attend. I am very interested and excited in knowing more about the success of the programmes organised by INSKEN, especially the mentoring programme.
“The RM3.8 million increase in sales revenue was made by entrepreneurs who participated in the programme this time with nine of them successfully changing their business status from micro to small,” he said.
He said this in his speech during the Graduation Ceremony of the 2022 INSKEN Mentoring Programme, at Bangi Resort Hotel, yesterday.
Also present were Secretary General Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative (KUSKOP) Dato Sri’ Suriani Ahmad, Deputy Secretary General (Entrepreneurship Development) KUSKOP Datuk Haji Zamri Salleh, INSKEN Board Member of Trustees Member Datuk Sham Shamrat Sen Gupta and INSKEN Chief Executive Officer Muhd Firdaus Azharuddin.
At the graduation ceremony, a total of 180 people from seven groups of entrepreneurs successfully completed the INSKEN mentoring programme. Of that number, 87 entrepreneurs are Sahabat Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) in collaboration with INSKEN.
Ewon hopes that the graduation ceremony will give them motivation to continue moving forward.
“I am very proud to see the excellent achievements of INSKEN mentoring entrepreneurs.
“A total of 106 entrepreneurs managed to show an increase in sales, and out of that number, 75 entrepreneurs managed to achieve the KPI that had been set, which is a minimum sales increase of 20 per cent,” he said.
Ewon also expressed his great appreciation to INSKEN for successfully organising such programme which provides many benefits to entrepreneurs.
“May INSKEN continue to excel and remain proactive in helping entrepreneurs through entrepreneurship development programmes and at the same time contribute to the national economy,” he said.-pr/BNN
