KOTA KINABALU: KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital held their annual breaking of fast recently after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

The recent event saw the centre celebrating with various guests from the the Sabah Islamic Religious Council (MUIS), orphanage centres from Rumah Amal Kasih, Kingfisher; and Madrasah Tahfiz Al-Quran Ar-Rahman, Tanjung Aru.
The joy that these orphans showed  as they enjoyed the food prepared especially for them were refreshing
Other attendees included media partners, consultants, staff, patients, and visitors. Also present was MUIS Deputy Secretary Mohd Adnan Rosdin Mohd Aniff.
Medical Director Prof Datuk Dr Ajaz Ahmad Nabijan and General Manager Mohamad Faizal Mohamed, as well as KPJ Sabah’s top management, were on hand to welcome the guests.
During the event, KPJ Sabah donated RM60,000 worth of business zakat to MUIS, and gave contributions to Rumah Amal Kasih, Kingfisher, and Madrasah Tahfiz Al-Quran Ar-Rahman, Tanjung Aru.
Thirty two children from the orphanages were happy recipeints of duit raya, presented to them by the  hospital’s management and consultants.
In collaboration with Adabi Consumer Industries Sdn Bhd and Sazarice Sdn Bhd, KPJ Sabah also organized its annual bubur lambuk programme.
This corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative was aimed at bringing people together to work towards a single cause that benefits all.
Adabi provided sets of pots and other items for the bubur lambuk, and their staff was present to assist KPJ Sabah staff in cooking the dish.
Sazarice, on the other hand, sponsored the rice for the bubur lambuk. The dish was distributed to various groups, including local authorities, government hospitals, corporate clients, general practitioners, foreign embassies, and motorists in front of KPJ Sabah bus stop.
To celebrate the holy month,  KPJ Sabah also organised tazkirah ramadhan every Thursday, where interesting topics were presented by learned speakers.-BNN
