KOTA KINABALU: Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dr. Hajah Rosmawati Haji Lasuki J.P., proudly participated in The Meetings Show held from June 19-20, 2024, at Excel London.
This prestigious event served as an exceptional platform to promote Sabah as a premier
Business Events (BE) destination and to demonstrate SICc’s capabilities as an international
venue.
The Meetings Show, recognized as the UK’s leading exhibition for the events, meetings, and incentives community, provided SICC with the opportunity to engage with a diverse audience through pre-scheduled appointments and walk-in interactions at the expo area.
The participation generated significant interest from attendees across the UK and Europe,
underscoring Sabah’s appeal as a preferred choice for international events.
SICC had theopportunity to showcase its offerings alongside Sabah, in collaboration with MyCEB andother industry players from Malaysia.

collaboration with MyCEB and other industry players from Malaysia. Also present to promote Sabah was the CEO of the Convention Bureau, Noredah Othman.
This event provided SICC with the opportunity to engage with a diverse audience through pre-scheduled appointments and walk-in interactions at the expo area. This participation generated significant interest from attendees across the UK and Europe, underscoring Sabah’s appeal as a preferred choice for international events.
SICC also hosted lucky draws for visitors, featuring prizes sponsored by Borneo Rainforest
Lodge, Shangri-la Tanjung Aru Kota Kinabalu, Conservation and Environmental Management Yayasan Sabah, Sabah Holidays, and Sri Pelancongan Sabah.
These activities further enhanced the visibility of Sabah’s cultural diversity, wildlife, and luxurious accommodations. Datuk Dr. Hajah Rosmawati expressed enthusiasm about the expo’s success, stating, “This expo is pivotal in positioning Sabah as a top-notch destination in the region, complementing our world-class convention facilities with the rich cultural and natural attractions that Sabah has to offer.”
