KOTA KINABALU : The DAP Sabah has called for immediate attention to the issue of corruption within the Sabah Government, emphasizing the need for diligence and responsibility to maintain integrity and public trust. Ramkarpal Singh, a prominent party leader, reaffirmed the party’s strong stance against all forms of corruption and urged for a speedy investigation into the matter.
In a statement, Vivian Wong Shir Yee Secretary of DAP Sabah and Member of Parliament for Sandakan highlighted the importance of basing any conclusions on thorough fact-finding rather than on unverified or one-sided allegations.
They have consistently urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to expedite its investigation to allow the judiciary process to commence.
With the MACC having completed its investigation and submitted its findings to the Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP), the DAP expressed confidence that the DPP will conduct a careful and impartial review before taking necessary actions promptly.
Furthermore, the Pakatan Harapan (PH) Sabah coalition reiterated its commitment to good governance and stated that it will continuously assess its position within the state government.-pr/BNN
