KOTA KINABALU: Autistic artists are set to perform at the HyperLive Impact Influencer Festival on 9 March at the Magellan Sutera Grand Ballroom.

Dr. Sean Wong, co-organiser of the event, expressed his desire to go beyond traditional tourism by providing a platform for autistic savant pianists to showcase their extraordinary talents.

The talented pianists taking part include Clarence Kang from Malaysia, Takuto Koyanagi from Japan, Zhou Bohan from China, and Chen Kuan Wen from Taiwan—each of whom has triumphed over significant challenges to achieve excellence in their craft.

“Through passion, perseverance, and the unwavering support of their families and communities, these exceptional individuals have shattered barriers, demonstrating that talent knows no boundaries,” he stated.

During a press conference held at Sutera Harbour to announce the event, Dr. Wong emphasised that the artists’ soul-stirring performances will serve as a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit.

“It is inspiring for all of us and allows us to recognise the potential within those who face unique challenges,” he added.

Importantly, their success stories highlight the vital role of an inclusive society that embraces diversity, nurtures talent, and provides equal opportunities for all.

The performances will take place during the HyperLive Impact Influencer Festival and Awards 2025 at the prestigious Magellan Sutera Grand Ballroom on 9 March.
