KOTA KINABALU: Extraordinary talents and influencers were brought together during the HyperLive Impact Influencer Festival and Awards 2025 held at the Magellan Sutera here.
Individuals traveling from countries including China, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia to attend the event underscores the power of the HyperLive Impact Influencer Festival and Awards in uniting diverse minds to celebrate talent, resilience, and social impact.
The Assistant Minister of Finance Datuk Tan Lee Fatt, the Guest of Honour said this in his speech during the event welcoming the guests and inviting them to appreciate Sabah’s beauty, culture, and the warmth of its people during their stay.
He lauded Dr. Sean Wong, saying the visionary behind this landmark initiative, deserves special recognition. His tireless dedication to supporting Sabah’s tourism industry has garnered international attention for the region, significantly uplifting local communities. Beyond organising world-class events, Dr. Sean embodies the spirit of bringing the world to Sabah.
“As the festival welcomed influencers, digital creators, and thought leaders—many experiencing Sabah’s beauty for the first time—the profound impact of Dr. Sean’s vision was evident. He is encouraged to continue his remarkable journey of attracting global audiences while showcasing the rich culture and hospitality of Sabah.
“The event underscores the true essence of influence. Genuine influence is not measured by numbers but by the positive impact one makes in the community. It reflects how platforms are employed to uplift others, advocate for important causes, and inspire meaningful change,” he said adding that the influencers present exemplify that success is not based solely on popularity but rather on the lives touched and inspired.
“The gathering is also a tribute to resilience, perseverance, and the extraordinary strength of the human spirit. The audience is in for a treat with performances by our Life Champions—world-class, award-winning autistic pianists. These talented individuals have defied the odds, showcasing the unwavering power of passion, discipline, and dedication in their musical journeys,” he said of the artistes.
“Behind their success are parents, siblings, teachers, and friends who have provided unwavering support, shaping their growth. This evening celebrates not only these incredible performers but also their families, whose dedication and sacrifice inspire us all,” he stated.
According to him, the festival is historic, marking the first time in Malaysia that four world-class autistic pianists have shared a stage simultaneously, right here in Sabah. This powerful concert serves as a testament that greatness knows no limits and resilience knows no bounds.
The musicians exemplify that, with the right nurturing and support, talent can overcome any challenge. This is a call to action to advocate for autism awareness, champion inclusivity, and create opportunities for all children.
“Let this evening inspire a collective commitment to ensure that every child, regardless of their abilities, has the chance to develop their talents and fulfill their dreams. With support, encouragement, and belief, anything is possible,” he stressed.
Also present during the event were were Datuk Eliza Goh, the social entrepreneur and founder of Zara’s Boutique Hotel; Datuk Victor Ationg, Group Managing Director and CEO of Sawit Kinabalu Group; and Datuk Dr. Rafiq Idris, Vice Chancellor of the University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF).
