KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Land Development Board (LKTNS) has distributed income and dividends amounting to RM21.3 million to representatives of settlers and participants from the East Coast and West Coast regions, involving a total of 2,119 settlers and participants for the financial year ended December 31, 2025.
LKTNS General Manager Datuk Syaheddrul R. Joddari said the achievement was recorded despite market uncertainties faced by the palm oil industry throughout 2024 and 2025.
“Despite various challenges, LKTNS remains committed to ensuring the welfare of settlers and participants is safeguarded through prudent management and sustainable development strategies,” he said at the LKTNS Settlers’ Income and Dividend Distribution Ceremony for 2025 held at the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (DUN) building here today.
The ceremony was witnessed by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, Nabawan State Assemblyman Datuk Abdul Ghani Mohamed Yassin, and State Secretary Datuk Seri Panglima Sr Hj Safar Untung.
Also present were LKTNS Corporate Services Officer Haji Fauzie Jamlee, LKTNS Senior Finance Manager (Subsidiaries) Puan Phun Siew Wee, and two representatives of LKTNS settlers/participants — Encik Mohd Adzlie Jaidih (Ulu Dusun participant, Sandakan) and Encik Mohammad Shahrum Nizam (Sungai Manila participant).
According to Syaheddrul, the increase in income distribution is in line with the call of the State and Federal Governments to eradicate poverty and strengthen the rural economy.
“The distribution of dividends and income reflects LKTNS’s continued commitment to ensuring that the benefits of development are enjoyed inclusively by settlers and participants, even in a challenging economic environment,” he said.-pr/BNN
