KOTA KINABALU: The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia(ACCCIM) with The Sabah United Chinese Chambers of Commerce(SUCCC) and SUCCC affiliates raised a target of RM500,000 within five days and donate to Malaysia Medical Association (MMA) Sabah Branch for purchase of medic equipment to fight the covid-19 epidemic.
The Fundraising led by President of SUCCC , which also Vice President of ACCCIM Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Andrew Liew, through ACCCIM raised RM300,000 to the Malaysia Medical Association Sabah Branch.
Tan Sri Andrew Liew deeply appreciated to ACCCIM , and President Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap which overwhelming support made the financial raised to help of MMA Sabah Branch Covid-19 Pandemic fund.
He also thankful to affiliates of SUCCC heartcare joined raised another RM 200,000 for MMA Sabah Branch Covid-19 Pandemic Fund.
Tan Sri Andrew Liew said with the total RM500,000 will for the MMA Sabah Branch purchase 20 units high flow nasal cannula machines and other medical equipment, which will be channelled through the Sabah State Health Department to the Sabah healthcare facilities, managing the pandemic patients.
He told SUCCC will fixture a date handover the fundraise mock cheque , witnessed by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Mohd Noor to MMA Sabah Branch for the continue to fight the Covid-19 outbreak.-pr/BNN
