KOTA KINABALU : Two charity homes namely, Care Haven Children’s Home and Sabah Cheshire Home and Services, received donations in the form of daily necessities and washing machines from Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Sentuhan Kasih program in conjunction with the coming Harvest Festival and Hari Raya Aildilfri celebrations.

Apart from that SAPP Youth Vice Chief Dexter Chin, who led the “Sentuhan Kasih” or “The Touch of Love” program also visited the disabled, single mothers, senior citizens and the sick around Kota Kinabalu distributing necessities and green envelopes or duit raya with the purpose to ease the burden of these recipients affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Chin advised that while celebrating festival eves such as Kaamatan and Hari Raya, the community need to always adhere to the SOPs and adopt new norms for each and everyone’s safety.

He urged more people of Sabah region come to register for the national vaccination program since the registration rate here is still low compared to the peninsula.

Those who also followed the series of visits include SAPP Api-Api CLC chairman Charles Yong, SAPP Likas CLC members Kapitan Mdm Hoh Yee Chuen and Kapitan Liau Hock Vun and Nieh Vin Bang. The others in the team are Wendy Chia, Sherine Chong and Charles Gokin.-pr/BNN
