KUALA LUMPUR: The three main institutions of the Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Huazong) will be conducting their annual delegates’ conferences, via online, starting from 24 to 26 September, 2021.
Its Secretary-general Datuk Dr Wong Aik Loung announced this in a statement issued today.
He said, Huazong Honorary Life President Tan Sri Pheng Yin Huah will be officiating its Central Committee delegates’ conference on this coming Sunday 26 September, while its President Tan Sri T.C Goh will be officiating the delegates’ conference for its Women Division tomorrow (Friday) 24 September, and followed by its Youth Division on 25 September (Saturday).
He explained that this year, Huazong has no choice but to conduct its annual delegates’ conferences via online due to the many constraints posed by the persisting Covid-19 pandemic; this includes ongoing travel restriction in many states which are still in different phases of the National Recovery Plan (NRP).
He also called on delegates of its three institutions to actively partake in the online conferences, so that together they could brainstorm on their directions and agendas for the next one year.
The following are the schedules for the three delegates’ conferences:
1. Huazong Women Division to conduct its delegates’ conference on Friday, 24 September, 2021, at 10am. (To be officiated by Tan Sri T.C Goh).
2. Huazong Youth Division to conduct its delegates’ conference on Saturday, 25 September, at 8.30pm. (To be officiated by Tan Sri T.C Goh).
3. Huazong Central Committee’s delegates conference will be held on Sunday, 26 September, at 10am. (To be officiated by Tan Sri Pheng Yin Huah).-pr/BNN
