KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) President Datuk Yong Teck Lee extends his warm greetings to the People’s Republic of China and wishes the republic, the people and the government of China a successful national day.
Yong himself, and on behalf of his party sends this brief message on the occasion of the coming national day of the People’s Republic of China to be held on October 1 this year.
He hopes China may continue its peaceful rise on a great nation and to contribute towards the health, prosperity, happiness and progress of people of the world.
“As a Malaysian, I am happy and proud that Malaysia was the first South East Asian country to recognise the new China in 1974.
“The wisdom and foresight of our national leaders in 1974 have been proven correct. As a result, we have witnessed the strong relation between Malaysia and China and we continue to enjoy the benefits of the close brotherly relationship between Malaysia and China.
“I am confident that this golden and solid relationship between Malaysia and China will continue to grow and become even stronger,” said Yong.-pr/BNN
