KOTA KINABALU: Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) started the highly anticipated “Taste of the World” Ramadan Dinner Buffet, on March 15th and will go on until April 9th, 2024.
This culinary extravaganza offers a diverse range of flavors from across the globe, offering a memorable dining experience throughout the holy month of Ramadan. As individuals come together to observe this sacred period, SICC presents a thoughtfully curated selection of traditional and international dishes to delight palates and elevate the Ramadan dining experience.
During the inaugural day of the “Taste of the World” Ramadan Dinner Buffet, Datuk Dr. Hajah Rosmawati Haji Lasuki, J.P., Chief Executive Officer of SICC, expressed gratitude to the loyal customers, strategic partners, media professionals, and social influencers who have steadfastly supported the convention center’s endeavours.
The aim is for guests to embark on a culinary journey that celebrates the rich tapestry of global flavours. The dedicated team at SICC has meticulously crafted an experience that pays homage to traditional Ramadan cuisine while incorporating innovative and international elements to captivate diners. The buffet is priced at RM168 nett, senior citizens RM138nett and Children aged 7 to 12 at RM84.
Led by renowned Malay Cuisine Chef Muhammad bin Hussin and the skilled culinary team at SICC, patrons can anticipate a lavish array of authentic Asian dishes and fusion creations, complemented by reimagined classic desserts curated by Pastry Chef de Partie, Chef Marshel David, and his team.
Each culinary creation reflects meticulous preparation, influenced by valuable feedback from esteemed guests, ensuring an unparalleled dining experience focused on continuous refinement.
To further enhance the dining experience, the “Taste of the World” Ramadan Dinner Buffet will feature live cooking stations where guests can witness chefs showcasing their expertise in crafting dishes with finesse and creativity.
The Ramadan dinner buffet at SICC has garnered significant interest, with reservations already at full capacity, welcoming over 1000 guests to savor an extensive spread of 800 delectable dishes.
As part of SICC’s corporate social responsibility initiatives, the center welcomed 30 Tahfiz children from Madrasah Darul Hadis Darsa Sabah and Maahad Tahfiz Sulaimaniyyah Kota Kinabalu, demonstrating its dedication to serving the community. The launch of the Ramadan Dinner Buffet coincides with SICC’s recent accolade of the ASEAN MICE Venue Standard (Category Exhibition Venue) Award at the esteemed ASEAN Tourism Forum 2024. This recognition underscores SICC’s commitment to upholding quality and responsible tourism, which will play a pivotal role in advancing the Business Events (BE) industry in Sabah.
