KOTA KINABALU – Tourism Malaysia Sabah, in collaboration with travel platform SabahTravel.com, has launched the “Explore Sabah” campaign to position Sabah and Labuan as top-tier travel destinations in line with the Visit Malaysia 2026 initiative.
Running from April 2025 to February 2026, the campaign showcases over 400 curated travel experiences ranging from island hopping in Semporna to wildlife safaris in Kinabatangan, eco-retreats, and cultural tours.
Labuan is also featured with offerings such as sunset cruises, snorkelling, and WWII heritage trails.

Tourism Malaysia Sabah Director Ms. Haryanty Abu Bakar said the campaign leverages digitalisation to amplify Sabah and Labuan’s visibility, while Ms. Poh Khay Inn, Marketing Director of SabahTravel.com, highlighted the partnership’s role in connecting global travellers to the region’s diverse attractions.
Tourism in Malaysia is seeing strong recovery, with 13.4 million international arrivals from January to April 2025 — a 21% increase year-on-year. China now ranks as Malaysia’s third-largest source market.
As part of campaign branding, Tourism Malaysia is distributing official Visit Malaysia 2026 vehicle stickers to licensed tour operators across Sabah to enhance visibility.
