KOTA KINABALU : Two professionals, GM Kristy, Certified Financial Advisor and Nar Chin Keow, Legal Practitioner, presented an informative afternoon session on Will and Trust Planning here today.
The talk held at Zara’s Boutique Hotel, focused on two key areas of life planning, one being Will Planning.
The attendees were accorded an insight on Will planning. The focus was on how to clearly express their wishes for their assets and loved ones after they pass on, to ensure their wishes would be carried out.
Information on Personal Care Trust Planning was also disseminated where the attendees were accorded information on how to protect themselves while they were still here.
The speakers touched on how to manage situations when people become seriously ill or lose the ability to manage their own affairs, leaving uncertainty over who will take care of them, who will manage their finances, and whether their family can access funds smoothly when they are no longer capable.
Attendees were informed on how to arrange their finances according to their own wishes, and how proper planning can minimise delays, disputes and unnecessary stress for themselves and their families.
Datuk Eliza Goh, Proprietor of Zara’s Boutique Hotel, said such events are crucial to ensure the public is well-informed about wills and inheritance matters, adding that she hopes this important knowledge will be more widely disseminated in the future.
The event held from 12 noon to 4pm was attended by more than 40 people.-BNN
