KOTA KINABALU: Ex-Sabah Umno Liaison Committee Chairman, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, said he was not surprised by Tempasuk Assemblyman Datuk Musbah Jamli’s move to join Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan).
He said Musbah’s action was more of for his own personal interests.
“Musbah’s decision to join Warisan is against what had been mutually agreed by all ex-Umno elected representatives when we jointly declared our withdrawal from Umno.”
“Musbah’s action clearly showed that he is an unprincipled and indecisive man,” he said in a statement today.
Musbah who is ex-Kota Belud Umno Division Deputy Chief, was among nine Sabah Umno state assemblymen who jointly withdrew from Umno early last month.
Hajiji, who is Sulaman Assemblyman said although it was Musbah’s democratic rights to do what he did, still it displeased the rakyat.
“I am confident that the rakyat will reject and punish such leaders in the next state election,” he said.
He was also confident that Musbah would regret the move because it went against the aspiration of the rakyat who supported and voted for him.
Apart from that, Hajiji was also confident of re-capturing those seats won by them (ex-Barisan Nasional elected representatives) who have earlier on joined Warisan and other parties. – By LSK/BNN
