Free Trade Zone and premium outlets for Putatan

KOTA KINABALU: A Free Trade Zone with premium outlets will be established in Putatan.

A 100 acre of land will be dedicated to this mega project where  outlets and stores will be sited within the area  upon its completion.

Putatan BERSATU Division Chief Datuk Arsit Hj said he had spoken to the relevant authorities such as the Malaysian Customs Department and according to him, they had been very helpful in according him information on the subject.

The development will not only generate business opportunities as well as employment but will also be a tourism attraction, he opined.

According to him, 150 acres of land has also been identified for the mega project which will be developed into an area for tourism facilities.

Tourism facilities will ensure that guests as well as local visitors to the area will enjoy exciting activities and sights, he said during the Putatan Division-level Sabah BERSATU’s Jelajah Programme held at the Haji Arsit and Hajah Hapsah Open Hall, Bakut View, Kampung Sendil, here today.

“We want to optimize our available resources,” he stressed adding that this project has been thought of before but this time round he wants to make it a reality.

He stressed that these projects will ensure employment and business that are important to the growth of Putatan as tourism destination.

“This is part of our struggle,” he stated.

On another note, he expressed his appreciation to all his Branch leaders and especially to BERSATU leadership, headed by Datuk Hajiji Mohd Noor,  for their constant support and encouragement, and he believed that plenty can be achieved through their struggle for the people.

The event was launched by Sabah BERSATU Chief, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor.

Also present during the event were Sabah BERSATU Information Chief, Encik Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, State BERSATU Treasurer, Datuk Haji Mohd.Arifin Mohd.Arif, State BERSATU Armada Chief, Encik Mohd. Isquzawan Israq Arsit, and Sabah BERSATU Srikandi Deputy Chief, Datuk Amisah Yassin, among others. -BNN
