KOTA KINABALU: The Ocean Rhythm Festival 2017 will be held at the Misompuru Homestay in Kudat in October 21 and 22 this year.
Spokesperson for the event, Datuk Jeffery Ayah said this time around it is named‘365 Days Celebrations of Ocean Rhythm Festival’ and will be held from 7am to 11pm during the two days event.
Several interesting and attractive activities will be held during that time including a beauty pageant to choose an Ocean Ambassador for Homestay Sabah and a singing competition.
Other events are the 15 kilometre beach run, Takraw tournament, Beach volleyball and surfing, he said.
“There are many other activities being organised for the event. These include Scuba Diving Discovery, MTB Fun Ride and mangrove exploration as well as a photography workshop,” Jeffery said.
Several handicraft stalls will be available that time where visitors can buy souvenirs, he said adding that there will also be traditional performances.
The Ocean rhythm festival is an annual event organized by Misompuru Homestay and that is when the homestay participants carry out this programme to promote their homestay and their culture while creating awareness on their environmental responsibilities.
