KOTA KINABALU: Shenanigan’s Fun Pub, one of the oldest pubs in the city here, culminated its month-long revelry with the crowning of Avie Jaine Sumawa as Miss Shenanigan 2017.
The 25-year- old cultural dancer beat seven other title aspirants to walk home with the top prize worth RM10,000 during the 23rd anniversary celebration of the in-house pub of Hyatt Regency Kinabalu here last week.
She received RM8,000 cash, a crown worth RM450, a one night stay at Hyatt, black card
membership and one-year as ambassador for Shenanigan Pub.
The first and second runners-up respectively went to self-employed Nathalie Thomas, 25, and account clerk Jasmine Jayapal, 25, who each bagged RM8,000 and RM6,000 worth of cash and in kind prizes.
“It had been 23 years, during which Shenanigan’Fun Pub has developed and evolved into one of the city’s best entertainment night spot destinations,” its food and beverages director Daryl Thong.
“There is no better way to commemorate this special time in our history than with an exceptional, fun-filled party featuring our new resident band, Spellbind and the crowning of Miss Shenanigan’s 2017,” he added.-Moses Wong/BNN
