KOTA KINABALU: Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri (PAN) candidate for the Inanam State seat Terence Tsen will not disappoint his voters by abandoning them for another party.
He said there have been talks that he was ‘friendly’ with Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties and that he would ‘jump’ to their side if he won the election.
He repudiated this claim, stressing that crossing over to another party was far from his mind, as he was working very hard to put across his pledge and party mission to the people.
He stressed that he respected his party and valued its members and supporters’ encouragement as well as support for him on his bid for the state seat.
“No way would I abandon the party much less my grassroots supporters for another party. I will stand my ground on my belief,” he stated.
According to him, the welfare and interest of Inanam’s residents were top on his priority should he represent them in the State Assembly.
“There is a lot more room for improvement in Inanam constituency and I plan to look into that. Those who were in power in the past had not really done a good job in various areas and I plan to look into that.”
“I don’t want to be thought of as arrogant in pledging this for Inanam but as an Inanam resident, I know what I am talking about,” he said.
He appealed to all residents of N13 Inanam constituency to support him in his bid to ensure that the area receive attention in all areas of development.
Terence will be facing five other candidates from other political parties for the State Assembly seat.-BNN
