KOTA KINABALU: Sulaman State Assemblyman, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, has officiated the Kent Alumni Club Reunion ceremony held at the Hone Kent Hall, Kent Teachers Training College, Tuaran, on Wednesday.
Hajiji said the Kent Teachers Training College is one of the oldest teachers training colleges in the State, having produced thousands of teachers and educators since its inception and they have contributed in teaching and producing knowledgeable citizens.
The Sabah Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU) Chief said the contribution and sacrifices made by educators and teachers were always remembered and cherished by their students and the community.
“A teacher or educator is an amazing career because they are the ones who creates a knowledgeable society. All members of our community came from the teaching of the teachers,” said Hajiji in commending and appreciating the contribution of the teachers and educators.
According to him, retired teachers and educators can continuously contribute to the nation and community through consultation services and sharing of their valuable experiences with the younger generation.
The Club Chairman, Haji Pengiran Ali Pengiran Jumaat, the reunion organising chairperson, Haji Ali Akhbar Kawi, and Professor Dr Harun Pudin, among others, were also present.-pr/BNN
