Chinese New Year, a festival to celebrate the coming of spring will be held on Jan 25, 2020 ushering in the Year of the Rat. This celebration is normally an occasion where families clean their house to sweep away ill-fortune and hope for good luck to come in, decorate their house with paper cuts depicting prosperity, good health and longevity. Lighting firecrackers and giving money in red paper envelopes are also the order of the day. But most of all the New Year is an occasion for families to gather for the annual reunion dinner and of course feasting in open houses.

Cherry Restaurant at Inanam, is offering a Chinese New Year spread that will appeal to celebrants. This includes SET A at RM698++ comprising of 4 hot and cold combination, superior seafood crab meat and steamed chicken with Chinese wine. Also included in the menu are steamed tiger grouper with preserved radish, sesame cocktail salad prawns, braised Chinese mushroom with abalone slices and broccoli, Young Chow fried rice and laici bean curd. JD members are entitled to add on RM88++ to get a set of Yee Sang (normal rate RM118++ per set).
If diners chose SET B at RM998++ they will enjoy the 5 hot and cold combination premium, seafood soup with dried scallop, steamed corn-fed chicken with abalone, HK style steamed tiger grouper and salted white pepper prawns. Other items in the menu are braised assorted mushrooms with HK kalian, fried rice with cashew nuts and sea coconut with bean curd sweet soup. JD members are entitled to add on RM60++ to get a set of Yee Sang (normal rate RM118++ per set).
Those who chose the sumptuous SET C at RM1288++ will get to enjoy Poon Choi (Abalone, USA Scallops, Fish Maw, Fish Snout, Flower Prawn, Pacific Clams, Fatt Choy, Chinese Mushroom, Bailing Mushroom, Taukan, Broccoli, Long Cabbage and Tang Hun Rolls, 5 hot and cold combination, double boiled chicken soup with cordyceps flower and American ginseng as well as Hainanese steamed corn fed chicken. The stir Fried HK kailan with chicken floss, butter garlic fried rice and peach resin sweet soup are also included in this menu. This package comes with a set of Yee Sang for free.
Bookings made before 5th January will get complimentary a bottle of wine and JD card members will be entitled for special rate on Yee Sang a la carte order.
Cherry Restaurant is the only Chinese restaurant in Inanam area with air-conditions with free basement car park facility that can accommodate up to 120 people.
