KOTA KINABALU: School bus operators who have yet to submit documents to the Sabah Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) for the special assistance from the Federal Government are reminded to get it done at the soonest.
CVLB offices statewide are facilitating application for the special assistance, which is part of the scheme under the Prihatin Initiative launched by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Mar 27, Sabah CVLB chairman Dato’ Chin Kim Hiung said here on Friday.
“Eligible school bus operators who have not submitted the necessary documents, are reminded to send them to the CVLB offices without further delay,” he added.
According to Chin, applicants are required to bring photocopy of their 1) identity card 2) driving license 3) school bus permit and 4) Public Service Vehicle (PSV) license to the CVLB office.
For the record, there are 35,000 school bus drivers nationwide including 1,104 in Sabah who are eligible to receive the one-off RM 600 special assistance which amounted to RM 21 million. -pr/BNN
