A determined entreprenuer

Zaizamreezam Sikong is 35 years old and lives in Kg Bantayan, Tuaran. This young man is very animated and has a lot of hopes and visions for his future. He wants to be a successful entrepreneur dealing in cosmetics and beauty products.

He is a trained in reflexology having enjoyed training under  Human Resource Development Department (JPSM) early this year  and what he learned through his training opened up a lot of possibilities for him.

Armed with his perseverance and interest, he experiments in various concoctions with various types of fruits and vegetables. He shares that edibles such as cucumbers and coffee are good ingredients for beauty care.

He is not new to beauty care and cosmetics as he has worked with other establishment before. He observes everything, he shares, adding that he garners knowledge like that; watch, observe and absorb.

According to him, when he concocted his own beauty products, he has to roped in family members and friends to try them on. He says there are willing participants. So far none suffered from his experiments and instead thought his products rather nice.

This encourages him a lot, to thrive for better and more effective products, he says. Now he has a range of products; face and body scrub made from coffee, toner made from cucumber and face mask as well as massage oil.

He is now using items such as coconut oil, ginger , turmeric and lemon grass on his products. He says he will add on to his range of products and hopes that he will be able to break into the national market soon.

His brand name is Luth Cosmetic and Lut Skin, he says adding that he has already showcased his products at the Wisma Pembangunan dan Perindustrian Sabah to promote local products.

He has great plans for the future and hopes to make his village Kg Bantayan proud that a child of that village made it into the business arena with products he made through his own initiatives and hard work.

He has a message for youth out there who are not employed and who didn’t know what to do next.

“Reach for your dreams and work hard to get there. If you fail on your first attempt stand up and do it again. I am sure you will succeed, don’t give up,” he opines.

As for the future, he shares that he wishes to open up a small factory on his compound and to create his products there. He believes that this will create job opportunities for his village folks and allow him to grow as an entrepreneur.
