KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Youth Chief Jamain Sarudin hailed the recent Education Minister statement of empowering the Education TV channels with the appropriate approach to start an Education TV program slot in the DidikTV@NTV7 program that will be specifically for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2020 candidates. Additional slots involve two hours Monday through Friday and five hours on Saturdays and Sundays.

“As we are facing the Covid-19 pandemic with MCO enforced in order to control the spread of the dreaded disease, the empowerment of education through TV broadcasts, even using other mediums such as youtube and so on can certainly increase access to information for the students,” he said.

Jamain hopes this matter to be continued at all levels of school because education from home is now an option.

He added that the Education Ministry should plan for a long period of up to 5 years to adapt 2 forms of education, namely face-to-face and online education.

“We must save our children in primary school from being exposed to this virus. Studies conducted globally have also revealed that vaccines are not a complete answer. And children below 18 may not get Covid-19 vaccinations. – pr/ BNN
